JOEY RAMONE PLUS FRANK CAPRA'S
IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE

Often when I'm asked what my favorite film is one of my stock answers is 1946's It's a Wonderful Life.
For one it's usually a film that I don't really ever need to explain why I would say it and two, I genuinely
love the film. Despite it being marked as just another corny, old Christmas movie by casual movie fans,
Frank Capra's story of Bedford Falls resident George Bailey's realization that he really hasn't done too bad
with his life is one of those films I can always come back to.

Despite the sappy, feel good ending, I always thought the film was a pretty bleak and dark look at a man's
life. To finally learn his lesson George is put through a pretty nightmarish experience, which makes the
ending to the film that much more powerful and earned for me. Jimmy Stewart's amazing performance (he rarely
ever gave a bad one), the small town Americana feeling, the time period it spans and the cast of supporting
characters have always made this film more to me than simply "A Christmas movie".

Anyway, this was a random Wonderful Life project that I had done way back just for kicks.
